I have my Etsy Store!
....Now I just need merchandise, lol.
Innit purty? Still struggling a bit with the sand's texture and getting it to read. The grass in the corner helps. I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Comments? Critiques? Advice?

Some Realizations
I realized a few things today. I don't really have a direction in which my life is going. I really like 'origin' stories. And I'm totally into waterscapes currently.
I'm still struggling to find a full time job and I think Bryan's getting a little angry at the lack of which. Sorry, honey, you can't feel any worse than me about it.
He also expressed some emotion about me not attempting to sell any artwork yet. I don't think I have any to sell. Nobody is going to want self portraits of me, I refuse to give up my senior thesis painting (let's face it: who the hell wants a picture of a three-headed dog and besides, it's f***ing awesome), all the rest is just 'practice' stuff. Like pictures of him. lol. Or my graphic novel characters who have no novel to live in yet. Or brief sketches for my 'Calvin Chronicles' books. Of which haven't gotten beyond that stage.
I'm a failure at life. I'm 25, have a degree, still don't have anything to show for it, much less a full time job to finance 'art' (it's like a crack addiction: feels good, but really expensive for the materials), and have no clue what to do next.
But I paint pretty pictures....anybody want a print of anything?
See? Water theme. I tried to load a picture from facebook of another seascape, but it didn't work. Maybe I'll try later. The second one isn't even close to being finished; I'd say it's about mid-way.
If people send me pictures of the ocean or a lake, or even a pond, I will paint it, try to sell prints of it, and probably will give you the orignial. Lucky you.

Haha, not quite what I was expecting...
Ok, so I have one painting completed, but it definitely isn't going up for sale. Why? It's on my studio closet door. A hole magically appeared there after a nameless zookeeper had a bad day at the office, and around it, a doubly magical appearance of a dinosaur. Drawn in Sharpie. With the hole being the over-sized eye. Now, I had two choices. I could've gotten incredibly mad because that is going to cost money to replace, and it's probably going to have to have a new track and everything due to its' age. Or I could have a sense of humor about it and it still is probably going to cost lots of money to replace.
I've got a couple of other paintings started, too, but they are waterscapes/sunsets/rises to help me get back into the painting groove. I've forgotten alot about how to handle a brush. Most a pity. Will post those when they are more completed or when I feel like it.
So far the only January goal I have left is to attain an Etsy account. Go me!
